Man with Ties to Cranston, SK, Wanted for Theft of Beef

Warwick Police are on the lookout for this man, identified as Michael J. Cocroft, 44, for allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from Stop and Shop on Quaker Lane.

Police said Cocroft walked into the store, took some Red Bull and cuts of beef and left the store without paying.

He is described as standing about six feet tall with thin, brown and gray hair with tattoos on his knuckles. He left the scene in a white work type van driven by an unknown white male.

The vehicle may be involved in other crimes in the Warwick and surrounding area.

Police said Cocroft has previous addresses in Cranston and South Kingstown and is wanted on an outstanding warrant out of the South Kingstown Police Department.
