DUI for Man Who Almost 'Hit Everything in Sight'

Michael D. Tobin was arrested in North Kingstown.

A Narragansett man was charged with driving under the influence last week after someone called police saying he almost "hit everything in sight" while driving in North Kingstown.

Michael D. Tobin, 60, of 29 Beech Rd. was arrested March 7. Police said an officer stopped his vehicle on Post Road in North Kingstown at about 10 p.m that night after a caller said he left a nearby store and was driving erratically.

Tobin failed a field sobriety test and refused a chemical test, police said.

He was also charged with refusing a chemical test and violating lane requirements.
