Cruiser Crashes on Pt. Judith Road Sunday Night

According to a reader, the police cruiser crash occurred sometime before 11:20 p.m.

According to a Narragansett Patch reader, a car crash involving a police cruiser happened on Point Judith Road near the Clarke Road intersection on Sunday, shortly before 11:20 p.m.

Citing an ongoing investigation, a Narragansett Police officer and a dispatcher said they could not release any information on the crash, such as when it occurred, whether there were any injuries, or a possible cause. Road conditions were wet, but not icy.

Two officers cleared the scene by 12:15 a.m. Monday. Because the cruiser was stuck deep in a thicket, it took several attempts for a tow truck to remove it.
