Arraignment Postponed for Narragansett Murder Suspect

Robert Taylor was charged with the murder of his 65-year-old mother in Narragansett on May 8.

The arraignment of Robert Taylor, the Providence man accused of killing his 65-year-old mother in her Narragansett apartment in May, was postponed Monday.

Taylor, 46, was indicted Nov. 15 on charges of murder and mutilating a corpse after he allegedly murdered his mother Allison Taylor in her Caswell Street apartment, cut her body into pieces and placed them in a dumpster near her residence.

The Washington County Grand Jury indictment also charged Taylor with vandalism and two counts of larceny following reports that he allegedly vandalized collection boxes and stole money and knives from St. Thomas More Church in Narragansett several days before his mother's death.  

A new date for Taylor's arraignment was not immediately made available. He continues to be held without bail.
