LETTER: Athletic Complex Festival 'Huge Success'

According to the Narragansett Athletic Complex Committee, their festival on June 3 was a huge success thanks to the community.

To the Editor:

The first festival for the Narragansett Athletic Complex Committee held on Sunday, June 3, was a huge success thanks to the support and participation of our Narragansett community.

A special thanks to all of the people who made this event possible: the Narragansett Police and Fire Departments for participating in a highly contested flag football game; Double DJ Productions for volunteering as our DJ; Wes Lessard of Tase Rite for the use of his grills; and Tom Tessitore and Matt Blessing for coordinating the youth games.

We had some incredible sponsors that made some wonderful donations including Narragansett Pest Control, PJ’s Pub, RI Troopers Association, Lila Delman Real Estate, Gilbane, Narragansett Lions Club, Sign-A-Rama, Narragansett Fire Dept- Local #1589, Narragansett Police Department- Local #303, Olympic Physical Therapy, Brickley’s Ice Cream, Dew Design LLC, Durkin Cottage Realty, Daniel R. Barry & Associates, South County Trolley, Sun Coat Painting, South County Fence Co., James L. Sheridan, Esq., Ann O’Brien Realty-Joseph Robenhymer, Dave Heskett, Robert Anthony Salon, Coast Guard House, Dunkin Donuts of Narragansett, Bonnet Shears, Frank White, The Ahmed Family, Owens Corning, Adventureland, Riptides, Pampered Chef-Colleen Kenny, South County Choppers, Sweenor’s Chocolates, the staff at NES, NPS and NHS, the PTOs at each school, and all of the Narragansett students who showed their support.

This entire event was a wonderful expression of support for the new athletic complex at Narragansett High School in 2015! For more information, or to be added to the athletic fields e-mail list, please contact Tammy McNeiece at Tmcneiece@narragansett.k12.ri.us.

Thank you for your support!
