Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees in Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA are pleased to announce that they will hold a two-week fall food drive, now through October 20th, to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Dunkin’ Donuts guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to any participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant. All food collected in the nearly 200 locations in Rhode Island will be donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank while items collected in approximately 100 restaurants in Bristol County, MA will be donated to The Greater Boston Food Bank. Each food bank will distribute donations to their local pantries.
“We are proud to announce what we hope will become an annual tradition, and are confident that our guests will be as supportive as ever as we try to do our part to ensure our neighbors have a delicious holiday meal this year,” said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee.
“Rhode Islanders are working to regain their footing after years of economic hardship,” said Andrew Schiff, Chief Executive Officer of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. “Unfortunately, many people are still struggling just to get by. Right now, 68,000 Rhode Islanders are depending on us to help them feed their families. We applaud Dunkin’ Donuts for inviting their customers to participate in this food drive.”
