Obituary: David A. Zaborski, 64, Controller, Accountant, Cook, Loving Family Man

David A. Zaborski, 64, of Kingston, RI, died peacefully at home Saturday morning, March 22nd after a courageous year-long battle with brain cancer. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Jarzombek) Zaborski. Born March 12, 1950, he was the loving son of the late Chester and Elizabeth (Sartini) Zaborski. In addition to his wife of 41 years, he leaves two sons, Jason A. Zaborski and his wife Emilie of Alexandria, Virginia, and Jeffrey D. Zaborski and his wife Julia of Brooklyn, New York. He was the cherished Papa of Lucas A. Zaborski, devoted son-in-law to Stasia Jarzombek, and was the absolute favorite nephew of Laurence Godek. 

He was a controller and accountant for several companies, including Stanley-Bostitch, Monet Jewelry, and Kenyon Industries. He was employed until March 2013 at Home Depot, Inc. in Middletown, RI. David was an excellent cook, avid reader, and a sailing enthusiast, enjoying many years sailing the waters of Narragansett Bay. He was adored by his entire family and by his many friends for his salty wit and sense of humor. He was never happier than when he was spending time with his wife and family, preferably at the beach or on the ocean. 

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt.1A) Narragansett on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
