Obituary: Brandon Michael Austin, 13

Brandon Michael Austin, 13, of South Kingstown passed away unexpectedly after an accident in South Carolina. He was the loving son of Loralie M. (Cornell) Austin and Garret A. Austin; brother of Ryan J. Marshall, John C. Marshall Jr., Kirstie M. Austin and Aaron A. Austin. He was the grandson of Janet E. (Bentley) Cornell and the late Stephen A. Cornell Jr., Walter E. and Claire M. (Loignon) Austin. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Other family members include: step father, David R. Siart, step mother, Tina M. Zampini, step sister, Sarah O. Siart, step sister, Amber I. Zampini, and step brother, DJ Zampini.

Brandon recently graduated 8th grade at Curtis Corner Middle School. His favorite activities include fishing, basketball, football, X-Box. He was a good friend and a surrogate little brother to many. Brandon had a contagious giggle and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to go to the beach, Subway sandwiches. If it had wheels, an engine, or wings, he knew everything about it. His passion was building and customizing cars. Practical jokester-his goal was to make everyone smile (much to the dismay of all school personnel).Even at his young age, when he met someone that had a need, he had to take care of it. He would help grownups with shoveling and carrying in groceries. He would befriend anyone in need. He loved his summers spent in South Carolina with all of the people who loved him there. Brandon’s love in life was every animal he met. He wanted to fix it, save it, and bring it home.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Funeral services will be private.

To honor his memory, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to the South Kingstown Animal Shelter: 132 Asa Pond Rd., Wakefield, RI 02879.
