Debra E. Johnson, Certified Nursing Assistant, Dies at 52

Debra, a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe, passed away on August 31.

Debra E. Johnson, 52 of South Kingstown, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Kent Hospital. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Howard E. Johnson, Sr. and Elizabeth A. (Young) Johnson.

Debra was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for various healthcare facilities. She was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. 

She leaves her three siblings: Howard E. Johnson, Jr. of North Kingstown, Gregory Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, and James E. Johnson of Kingston. She was the sister of the late Cynthia Johnson. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends attended a memorial service on Sunday, September 8 at Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford in North Kingstown. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery was private.
