What's Open/Closed on Christmas in Narragansett, South Kingstown?

Whether you're heading out or staying in for Christmas, you may need to make an emergency trip into town.

In observance of Christmas Day, municipal, state and federal offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013.

  • Narragansett Public Schools are closed from Dec. 23 - Jan. 1 and will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2.
  • South Kingstown Public Schools are closed from Dec. 23 - Jan. 1 and will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2.
  • Narragansett Town Hall will close at noon Christmas Eve and be closed Christmas Day.
  • South Kingstown Town Hall will close at 3 p.m. Christmas Eve and be closed Christmas Day.
  • All locations of the South Kingstown Public Library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.
  • Maury Loontjens Memorial (Narragansett Public) Library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.

Police and fire tax and records offices will be closed on Christmas, in addition to the U.S. Post Office.

Banks will be closed on Christmas - call your local branch for Christmas Eve hours.

For those who rely on public transportation, be aware that RIPTA is running on a holiday/Sunday bus schedule.
