Langevin Nominates Wakefield’s Pinch to Naval Academy

Congressman Jim Langevin awarded Wakefield resident Ryan Pinch a nomination to the United States Naval Academy - a major requirement for hopeful applicants.

Wakefield resident and Prout School senior Ryan Pinch recently received a principal nomination to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, from Congressman Jim Langevin.

Pinch, the son of Steven and Karen Pinch of Wakefield, is a student athlete at Prout. Captain of the varsity cross country team, he was named Rookie of the Year and also played on the varsity baseball team. 

Pinch has served as treasurer of his class for the past two years, participates in the Robotics Club and has performed in the past with the school’s Drama Club. He is also a volunteer firefighter at the Peace Dale Fire Department and is a peer minister who leads faith-based retreats for underclassmen.
