A Sunday Stocked With Events

Tree lighting festivities get started tonight at 4:30 p.m., but there's plenty to keep you busy between now and then:

 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., , ArtCraft Show & Sale. (see Saturday’s listing)

10 a.m. – 6 p.m., , Pottery & Art Sale. (see Saturday’s listing)

12 – 5 p.m., Sweenor’s Chocolates, 21 Charles St. is having its annual holiday open house. You can watch the candy being made right in the shop.

12 – 5 p.m., Cherry Branch Plaza stores at 40 Charles St. , , and will be holding open houses, featuring holiday sales.

2 – 3 p.m., , 1057 Kingstown Rd. is hosting a Holiday recorder concert of early and Renaissance music by the group Amaryllis. The ensemble consists of 7 local musicians: Althea Jordan, Mark Berman, Megan Magee, Jacqueline Edwards, Nathaniel Vaccaro, Emily Phelps, and the group's leader, Erika Poggie. The event is free of charge and open to the public and refreshments will be served

After the concert you can head right over to the , 325 Columbia St., for the Tree Lighting Festivities. The Village Green will be ready for Santa's arrival.  Luminaries will be displayed, trees will be full of beautiful lights, and the Guild will be full of fun for everyone! 

4:30 – 6 p.m., Horse and Carriage rides through the Peace Dale Mill Complex.

4:30 - 5:45 p.m., Crafts and more for children (some age restrictions will apply).

4:45 - 5:45 p.m., Movie showing in the gym

6 p.m., The Wakefield Concert Band will perform on the Village Green. Complimentary hot chocolate and candy canes

6:15 p.m., Santa arrives by fire truck to help with the tree lighting

6:30 - 7:15 p.m., Santa will visit with children and parents in the Neighborhood Guild Lounge
