WKBC 5K "Race for the Rescue Mission" and Blood Drive

The West Kingston Baptist Church will host it’s 4 th Annual


5K Run/Walk and1K Fun Run Saturday September 21, 2013 at 10:00 am .  The run entitled “Race for the Rescue


Mission” will raise funds for the Providence Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter


located in Providence, R.I.

In addition to the run, the American Red Cross will conduct


a blood drive from 9:00am to 1 pm at the church.




To enhance the fun and friendly atmosphere of the day, the


children will be able to enjoy  an


obstacle course bouncy house, climb a fire truck, and have their face painted .


From a pre-race aerobic warm up and flag raising ceremony,


to live music and food at the finish line, the WKBC 5K brings the warmth and hope of

a local community gathering in support of 

those in need of food and shelter.
