SK High School Fall Concert

The South Kingstown Band, Chorus, and Orchestra will present a fall concert on Wednesday at 7 PM.  Come enjoy the chorus debut under the direction of new choral teacher Marina Ferri.  The band, led by Donald Smith, will play a new piece commemorating the 50th anniversary of the tragic death of JFK; the piece will be narrated by SKHS teacher Ronald Matteson.  The orchestra will celebrate the 200th birthday of Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi with a performance of his famous "Anvil Chorus" from the opera "Il Trovatore".   The concert will be enhanced by brand new acoustic shells, generously donated by the South Kingstown Educational Foundation (special thanks to Erica Van Pelt and an anonymous donor!).  The venue is handicapped accessible.  Donations accepted.
