Ignite! - A Night of Presentations

WAKEFIELD -  Jack Albanese, Kristy Armstrong, Elyssa Baldassari, Lisa Bourbonnais, Ken Burke, Kathleen DiChiara, Wayne Grover, Aria Mia Loberti, Stephen Maciel, Robin McGuigan, Janelle Photopoulos and Keith Vorhaben will be among the speakers at "Ignite! A Night of Presentations" on Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. at the Contemporary Theater Company, 327 Main Street, South Kingstown.

Ignite is an inspirational community forum, with the motto "Enlighten us, but make it quick." Each presenter has five minutes to share an idea or subject they're passionate about. They are assisted by slideshow with 20 images which automatically advance every 15 seconds.
Topics at this event will include: embracing your inner geek; the challenge of balancing business with family life; the relationship between community wealth, local business and hunger; bridging the gap between health care and self-care; hiring people you trust; the "script" people use in daily interactions with others; vulnerability as a tool for growth; and how local pilots are making a difference in the lives of unwanted animals.
More than 50 Ignite events have been held around since the world since the inaugural event in Seattle, Wash., in 2006.

The Rhode Island program is coordinated by the Southern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, and proceeds benefit The Contemporary Theater Company, a nonprofit community theater.
Tickets are $20, and are available in advance by calling the theater at 401-218-0282 or online, www.thecontemporarytheater.com. The event is sponsored by Arnold Lumber, DiStefano Brothers Construction, Rhode2Health, and Seth Jacobson Photography.
