Film screening: "America's Forgotten Heroine: Ida Lewis, Keeper of the Light"

Directed and produced by URI alumna Marian Gagnon, America's Forgotten Heroine: Ida Lewis, Keeper of the Light is a
57-minute historical documentary about a female lighthouse keeper in
Newport, RI, who became a national celebrity and inadvertently had an
impact on the women's rights movement. She saved at least 18 lives, although unofficial reports suggest as many as 36.

This event is free and open to the public, and will be held in Swan Hall Auditorium.
