Linocut Printing

This four-week introductory printmaking course will explore a brief history of linocut, as well as examples from contemporary and master artists, as we work with linoleum to create simple and detailed mirror-image prints using non-toxic, water-soluble printing inks. A small printmaking press will be available for printing.  Students will also learn hand press methods, which can easily be accomplished at home once the class has ended.

Cost:  $100 members, $125 non members.                      Instructor: Jill Cook

Jill studied painting and printmaking at Rhode Island College where she earned her BFA as well as a BA in Art History in 2007.  Her prints have been exhibited nationally in universities and museum galleries.  She is currently pursuing her MFA in interdisciplinary studies at the Vermont College of Fine Art.
