Lecture: The Grand Experiment: How upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities are impacting Narragansett Bay

What happens after you flush? How does that impact the Bay? This talk will describe current and planned upgrades to some of the 28 sewage treatment facilities on Narragansett Bay or its tributaries, and explain why researchers think they will improve the health of Narragansett Bay. This research was supported by NOAA's Coastal Hypoxia Research Program. The talk will be held in the Coastal Institute Auditorium and is presented by Jason Krumholz of the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center. Krumholz recently received his Ph.D. from URI's Graduate School of Oceanography. An RSVP is requested.
