The increasingly-hot Republican contest for the gubernatorial nomination between Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung and Barrington Businessman Ken Block has made tonight's debate on WPRI the must-see-TV for this election year.

Block and Fung come to the podiums after several weeks of back and forth campaign slog with Fung's campaign taking the risky move of labeling Block supporters as "blockheads" in a campaign ad and the Block campaign defending itself against the assertion that he supports Obamacare by saying Fung is being a bit too flexible with the truth.

The debate airs on WPRI tonight at 7 p.m. It will also be streamed live on www.wpri.com.

Stay tuned for reaction and analysis after the debate.

I'm not voting for "attitude". I'm voting for experience, toughness and follow thru. I'm a Fung Fan!

Getting an endorsement from Lincoln Almond is like being in the water drowning, and someone throws you an anchor instead of a life saver! Lincoln Almond was a lazy empty suit Governor that accomplished nothing! The more Almond comes out for Fung the more votes Fung will lose. Go Block. Cranston Voter
