'Tweet'le Dee And 'Tweet'le DUMB!

     I will be the first, to admit, that, I enjoy 'social-media', to a degree. I am not, nearly, as 'committed' to it's use, as, some, but, certainly, use it more, than, some, others. 'Facebook', is the ONLY, such, site, that I employ, so, I cannot remark on other, forms of similar-social-'connectedness', other, than, to say, that, sometimes, it seems a bit, much; the, whole, idea, that, folks, MUST broadcast their EVERY experience, move, and, thought, as in 'TWEETING', etc., 24 hours a day. Do these people ever SLEEP? First of all, does ANYONE, truly, care to know what's going on in the life of others, ALL the time, with, a great-deal of, such, information, being, extraordinarily, PERSONAL! Furthermore, if a party is, incessantly, interrupting his or her day, to 'alert the world' as to his or her 'play by play', existence, how much of their OWN, 'experience(s)', are these, folk, really, realizing? It's difficult to imagine, that, any one of these, persons, is, TRULY, 'invested', in ANYTHING, that, he or she is personally-encountering, for having to interrupt the 'moment' to make certain to convey 'it' to the masses. I dunno...is it, just, me? Is my 'age-showing', once, again? I'm not so certain of this, being the case, as I know of individuals, within my, own, 'age-bracket', whom, are equally as entwined in this, behavior, as is any younger faction of folk; Guess, it's, simply, me, then! I hate to be the harbinger of 'bad-news' people, but, guess what? The WORLD, at large, is NOT, waiting with 'bated -breath' for the next, 'tweet', 'peep', 'bark' or' roar'; at least, I pray, that, this is not the situation. For, if it is, what does this say about 'US', in general? To me, it states, 'loud and clear', to the, 'new-reality' which is, that, nobody seems to 'give a hoot' about their own, lives, on, any genuine-level; That, it's MORE important to 'SHARE' what's going on in one's life, than, it is to, 'live' that life, and, simply, enjoy the moment, either alone, or with friends...REAL friends, not, those, whom, are unknown to us, but, merely, a part of the 'extended 'family', brought to you by and through 'social-media'. Real-friends, those, of the 'flesh and blood' variety, are, NOT, as one, would, be led to believe, due to sites, as FB, and, others, a 'dime a dozen', they are rare and precious, as is life. And, as such, not, even, a true-friend, wishes to hear about EVERYTHING, that, goes on in the life of a pal. Besides...there, are, simply, SOME, things, that, ought, NEVER, be 'SHARED', as far as I'm concerned. A little, 'mystery' is what keeps things exciting, and, interesting, after all. If one doesn't 'employ' a bit of discretion, once in awhile, well...'the 'truth' is in the 'tweeting'! Just Sayin'...
