The 'Choice' IS Ours...

     Who we are, today, right this moment, is the sum-total of, ALL, which, has occurred, in our lives... our past, along with, the choices, we have made, when necessary, to date. Within my, personal-belief-system, lay the, conviction, I aver and embrace, which, is, that, at any given moment...at, any, given, time, regarding, any, given-incident, we make the, very, BEST, choices and decisions, of, which, we are CAPABLE. The culmination of our, choices, these, responses to life and it's challenges, and, the lessons-learned, by and through them, are the components which, comprise our character. It is, fairly, common, that, over the course of our lives, we will 'look back' and, realize, that, a 'choice' we made about, any, particular thing, although, seeming 'right' at the time', mayn't have played out so optimally. Yet, since, it was the, most, favorable, decision to come to, AT the time, it, ultimately, was the correct-choice. If and when, a similar-situation, arises, we do 'our best', to NOT repeat the past; Although, with respect to certain, personal, behavior(s), habits, or, patterns of actions and mannerisms, it, often, takes MORE, than, one 'go-around', for us to 'get it'. When we can 'get to' a place, as, have I, where we accept, that, we are 'doing our best', and, not' beat ourselves up', over, what, we may, perceive, as past-'mistakes', in the form of the 'findings', and/or, selections, we've made; But, rather, realize, that, these are all the 'stepping-stones' we MUST cross, to continue on our 'path' toward enlightenment and growth, and, rather, than, letting a past-pick, haunt us, for the rest of our, days, we can, 'let it go' and, BE happy...right here...right NOW. Yes...our pasts, are, important, as it is from them, that, we learn, NO doubt about it; However, the time to live is 'in the now', for, going back in time, for any, other, reason, besides a 'trip down Memory Lane', is a step-backward. Just Sayin'...
