So Good, It's NOT-NUTS!
Risking sounding a bit like an 'info-mercial', I am, about to 'sing the praises' of a product, which, I think is the best thing 'since sliced-bread'! The 'substance', to which I refer, is almond-milk; this, age-old beverage, easy, enough to make at home, is filled with nutrition, beyond that of any other milk, or 'milk-like' product, containing, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium, selenium, manganese, zinc, potassium, iron, phosphorus, tryptophan, copper, and calcium. The ONLY thing it lacks, compared to cow's milk, is cholesterol, calories, and, a bit, less, protein. One can, certainly, live with that. If you are looking to try a dairy-milk substitute, may I suggest almond-milk; for it, unlike it's 'sister'-products of rice and soy-milk, needs NO additional, nutritional-value, 'pumped' into it, as almonds, on their own, merit, are some of THE most, healthful foods one can ingest, and, contrary to 'popular-belief' are NOT nuts. Go figure! Nope...an almond is, actually, a seed, from the Almond-Tree. The fruit of the almond is a drupe, consisting of an outer hull and a hard shell with the seed (which is not a true nut) inside. One can learn something every day, although, I've known this, fact, for years. I have been consuming almond-milk, now, for some, many, months, and, wouldn't go back to dairy-milk, 'on a bet'; Although, I never consumed much of it, in the first place. It comes in plain, vanilla, chocolate, and, even coconut. Now, I, TRULY, sound like an advertisement! It makes some of the VERY best smoothies, and, can be used, as any, milk, on cereal, etc.. I would recommend, to anyone, to try this, great-stuff. Try it...you'll LOVE it! Just Sayin'...
