Self-LOVE, Makes The World Go Round...

     One needn't be invested in any religion, nor, claim him or herself a Christian, in order to exhibit, 'Christlike' characteristic(s). Acts of kindness, love, tolerance, and, understanding, are, simply, 'humanistic'-behaviours, and, those, which, anyone, with ANY, concern for him or herself, will bestow to others. Regarding and respecting ourselves, 'first and foremost', makes it, much, more, likely, that, we will extend the same consideration to folks we know...or. DON'T know. The tenet to 'Love our neighbor, as ourselves', although, Christian-based, in it's origin, is nothing more than 'good-form', and, shows the character of a person, as far as I can tell. For, it is evident, in the manner in which we treat others, as to how we, honestly, feel inside ourselves. When we are 'LOVE', we demonstrate, that, love, and, we share it with those whom we encounter...our family, friends, neighbors, and, even, strangers. It is not, always, easy, to see the good in ourselves, therefore, we may miss it in those around us; And, because, it all begins with us, it's, extremely, important to be gentle and loving with ourselves, before anyone. When we treat ourselves as our own 'BFF', we will have MORE than enough love to 'go around', and, to share with those we interact with. A warm smile, a kind-word, or, a willing-ear, are all ways, in which 'love' is demonstrated to others. Our pure thoughts, over any, which are cruel or unkind, is another way. Sometimes, it is not, so much, what we do, but, what we do not do, as in refraining against a 'barb', or, an evil-thought. If each of us, each and every day, made a more, concerted-effort, to be more, 'loving' to ourselves and to one another, well... just, think of the possibilities. Just Sayin'...
