One Person's 'Rut' Is Another Person's 'Routine'...

   There is a vast difference between being in a 'rut', a type of boring, habitual, behavior, as compared to living within a comfortable 'routine', which is a regular way of doing things, in a particular order. Personally, I like a more, ordered, routine, and, ritualistic, existence, as I find comfort in knowing, to a certain degree, what a day will promise; Yet, I am equipped, as an adult, to handle the unforeseen, unexpected, and, oft times, unwelcome, events, which may occur, on any day, at any time. Experts on the subject of early-child development tout the importance of routine, for children, as this will assist in offering them a sense of security and help them develop self-discipline, each, a quality which can aid one in future years. Being able to deal with day to day life, the ups...the downs, the positive, or, negative, is an important 'life-skill' to acquire. It is necessary to manage life, on 'an even-keel', and, to learn how to feel balanced, especially, in a world where so much of what we experience, both personally, and, 'globally', can try us, in multiple ways. For me, the comfortable 'routine' of my daily life, along with the personal, choices I make to find fulfillment in my life, are nurturing, and, in being so, strengthen me and my ability to cope, when demands are made on me. Some, who know me, may think that my life is boring...dull...'routine', and, that's ok with me. Hey, after the multiple, years, of stressful-demands I've endured, I am all about 'de-stressing', and, staying well, in mind, body, and, spirit. If this lifestyle 'screams' RUT, I'll take it, over chaos, ANY day of the week! Just Sayin'...
