Lunch for $5. Laptops at $250 off. Items to stock your pantry with for only $1. Bright and sunny tote bags. See what deals are hot this week in town!

Spring has finally sprung (pay no attention to the snow that is currently in the forecast), so get yourself outdoors to soak in the longer days, and while you’re doing that you can check out the following deals I found this week right here in South County:

  • Staples’ Five Days, Eight Deals is going on now. You can save up to $250 on an HP Pavilion DV6 laptop by logging on to www.staples.com and signing up for their e-mail specials.  You can then redeem up to eight great coupons that can save you hundreds of dollars on products like laptops, Photosmart premium printers and even a Kodak Mini pocket Video Camcorder.  You must have the online coupons however.  Offer expires March 26. And if you don’t have one yet, be sure and get your Rewards card for even more savings.
  • Looking for a great new tote bag for spring? Zero Wampum at 161 Old Tower Hill Road has a wonderful selection of everyone’s favorite Vera Bradley totes in a beautiful selection of garden colors. Regularly sold for $88, from now until April 4 you can have one for only $75.  Top-notch quality and a delightful assortment await you.  Sign up to be on their mailing list for even more savings by stopping in at the store or phoning them at 789-7172
  • Restaurant Week begins Friday, March 25, and ends Sunday, April 3 so be sure and visit the Chamber’s listing of participating restaurants here. With that in mind, why not try a spot you’ve never been to for a quick and delicious lunch, for only $5. ZuZu’s Pizza Restaurant at 865 Pt. Judith Road has a deal you can’t beat. Two slices of regular pizza and a 20 oz. beverage for $4.99. Cool Beans Café on Kingstown Road in Narragansett serves up more than delicious coffee.  Come try one of their mouthwatering paninis for only $5.
  • Payless Shoes at the Wakefield Mall is ready to help you set sail with their new spring assortment of nautical style boat shoes starting at just $14.99. Visit www.payless.com for a sneak peek.
  • Stop & Shop can help you stock up your pantry on staples and family favorites with their 10 for $10 sale, including items like canned soup, pasta and facial tissues for those spring allergies that are settling in.  Their on-line flier is available at www.stopandshop.com .
