Sorry businesses in South County. I am going to Walmart to save a buck because the progressive democrats - Teresa Tanzi and Donna Walsh sponsored bills that will raise everyone’s personal income tax. I had better save my “extra money” or disposable income to cover the already high taxes in the state and plan for the possible increase. I have to save money for the new surcharges on vehicle registrations and license renewals too. Just take a minute to search 2012 proposed bills by sponsor and read them. Burt’s Bees and Seventh Generation products- buying at Walmart not at Back to Basics- Dry goods Walmart not Belmont’s- Candy from Walmart instead of Sweeenors. I love to support local businesses and I do, but it is getting harder and the “problem” is not Walmart. When I look at proposed bills I ask myself - What will be the unintended consequences? Is it constitutional? Does it expand the size, cost, and power of government?

I do support local businesses and will do my best to spend some money. My point is that I would love to shop local all of the time.
