Phantom Gourmet Gushes Over Aunt Carrie's in Narragansett

Phantom gushed over the restaurant's clam cakes.

The Phantom Gourmet recently highlighted Aunt Carrie's, the Narragansett seafood restaurant that's been in business for over 85 years.

Phantom gushed over the restaurant's clam cakes.

"As legend has it, Carrie Cooper invented the clam cake back in early nineteen hundreds by adding fresh clams to her corn fritter recipe," the program said. "Aunt Carrie’s clam cakes are always golden and crunchy on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside, and loaded with plenty of clams. Taste just one and you’ll know why they’re an Ocean State institution."

Phantom also praised the lobster BLT, chowder, and raisin-cinnamon bread, among other dishes.
