A New Boutique On Robinson Street; Adventureland Makes A Grand Addition

A weekly look at business happenings in the South Kingstown area.

A new store has opened at 254 Robinson St. in the former home of Therapy Clothing Boutique, which has moved to 330 Main St.  Wink! Boutique will carry jewelry, accessories and gifts including items by Sondra Roberts, Cufflinks, Immotion Handbags Glovables, Marcia Leichter, Bond No. 9 and Bungalow 360. Just in time for Father's Day they are stocking cufflinks with the logos of major sports team as well as Star Trek and Sinatra. The Southern RI Trolley is operating again, providing free transportation on a link from the Towers to the beaches, through downtown Wakefield and the Pier. Local businesses are paying for advertising to support the rides. South Kingstown businesses participating are: and the on Tower Hill Rd, , Spa Mosaic and Harbor Village at the South County Commons, Pow! Science, , Vitamin World, Wakefield Books, , , , , and  Staples at the Wakefield Mall.   Boutique, Restaurant,, Bicycle Shop on upper Main St., , Thai Pepper, Sweeney Liquor, , , All That Matters, s, , Therapy Clothing Boutique, , II, , Chameleon’s Consignment, Ice Cream, , Sugar Loaf B&B and Alternative Food C0-op on lower Main St. as well as several Narragansett businesses. This year the trolley service will be doubled, according to a last week announcing that a second trolley had been purchased from RIPTA.

Speaking of Narragansett- Adventureland held the grand opening of its newest attraction - a Victorian Carousel - this past Sunday. A huge crowd turned out to welcome the ride and sample popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream. Rides are $2 each or 10 for $18 and judging by the smiles on the faces of the riders on opening day a grand time was had by all.
