Here are the (more than) Five Things for Saturday, May 4, 2013:
You just watch yourself – We’re wanted men, I have the death sentence on 12 systems. If you have hazardous waste that needs to be disposed, there is a collection today in the North Lot of Narragansett Beach from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more info, click here.
Use the Force, Luke. Narrow River Kayaks is having its annual spring sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
This will be a day long remembered – It has seen the end of Kenobi, and will soon see the end of the rebellion. The Pier Washtub on Boon Street is having a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a rock climbing wall, Del’s Lemonade and free washes for the 20 and 30-pound units. For more info, click here.
What a piece of junk! There is a jewelry repair clinic at Waves of Creation in South Kingstown from noon to 3 p.m. For more information, click here.
This little one’s not worth the effort – Come, let me get you something. Goose Pond Farm of West Kingston is offering community supported agriculture accounts from this season to Dec. 31. For more info, click here.
I know – the time or date or details of one of your events has changed. If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!
I’ve got a bad feeling about this! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s Bird Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).
This is the newsletter you were looking for. Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know.
Bum, bum, bum bum bum bum, bum bum bum bum, bum bum bum bummmmmm! It’s May 4, do you know what that means? May the fourth be with you! It’s Star Wars Day.
Like a guy in a $5,000 suit is going to watch Star Wars, COME ON! Happy 43rd birthday to Arrested Development actor Will Arnett.
