5 THINGS: Harvesting Wind Power and Pi Day

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Thursday, March 14, 2013:

This is about harvesting wind, literally! There will be a lecture at the URI Bay Campus at 3 p.m. by Phillip Warburg, the author of Harvest The Wind. He’ll also discuss his observations about how wind energy is changing the U.S. economy. For more info, click here.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s Pi Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren.
