Everybody’s working for the weekend. This weekend, there are a slew of events, ranging from Narragansett Park and Rec jazz festival to prescription drug take-backs to charity races and runs. We’ll be running a Five Things on Saturday and Sunday, and some assorted news releases, so that you have no excuse for staying home.
Way cooler than Rin Tin Tin. The anime and magna club will hold a meeting at 3:30 p.m. at the . For more info, click . Students in grades 7 and up are welcome, and there will be the watching and drawing of anime, along with other fun times. Also, the club is free, which is always a plus.
Well lookie here, it’s a talkie! Throughout April, the Center is viewings of Charlie Chaplin films with Dr. Gambarini. At 1:30 p.m. today, the subject will be Lime Light. A discussion will follow.
Space – The final frontier. Each Friday, the Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown holds a free public observation night. You can head on over around 7:30 p.m., you know, when it gets dark out. For more info, click .
Register for Narragansett summer camp! Narragansett Parks and Recreation is now taking registrations for , which begins June 25. The cost is $135, and the camp typically runs into late August.
