Services Scheduled For Crash Victim

Funeral services have been scheduled for 18-year-old Madeline Healey, who passed away in a crash Sunday in East Greenwich. Healey has family members in Narragansett.

Funeral services have been scheduled for an 18-year-old North Kingstown woman with family in Narragansett who passed away in .

A Mass of Christian Burial for Madeline "Maddie" Healey is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church for relatives and family. Visiting hours are slated for 4 to 8 p.m. at on Friday. 

Born in Providence, Healey was a 2011 graduate of and was attending CCRI in hopes of pursuing her dream of working with children. She also worked at Beach Rose Cafe. (Click here to read blogger Amy Feucht's piece about Maddie and her co-workers.) According to her obituary, Healey loved making people laugh, going to the beach and always had a flair for fashion.

Healey leaves behind parents James E. Healey and Kecia (Knight) Courtemanche; step-parents Lori Wagner and David Courtemance; siblings Meghan, Emily, Sophie and Jack Healey of North Kingstown and Heather Courtemanche of Coventry and Robert Courtemanche of Warwick; grandparents Alton and Lillian Healey of Narragansett, Fred and Maureen Heise of North Kingstown and Florida, and step-granddmother Carol Wagner of North Kingstown along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Healey will be laid to rest in Elm Grove Cemetery in North Kingstown.
