Info Request: Old Man's Face

Can you help a reader identify a piece of the Narragansett landscape?

Recently, I had a request from a reader, John Nacci, about whether I could identify the landscape in this postcard.

According to the website, the postcard is believed to be from the early 1900s. It’s of the Old Man’s Face at Point Judith, but I’m personally not familiar with that area. It looks kind of like the rocks off of Galilee and Salty Brine Beach to me, but I’m no expert on this.

Do you have any ideas about where the Old Man’s Face is? Let us know in the comments!

I researched this rock back in April of 2005. Was told a storm destroyed this formation which was originally the result of two rocks seen as one.

Hey Jim, do you know where the formation was? I heard from someone on Twitter it was over by Breakwater Village.

My source told me off the shore at the north end of the Town Beach. So Eastern shore of Narragansett.
