Five Things, July 15: Marina Park Concert, Gansett Council Meeting and More

Today is Monday, July 15, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

Wakefield Concert Band at Marina Park: The 80-piece band under the direction of Barry Liebermann will perform on Monday evenings, June 24 to July 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Marina Park (Salt Pond Road, SK). Bring a blanket or chair, a snack, and a friend, and enjoy the music! 

Railroads in RI: This evening at 6:30 p.m., Narragansett Library (35 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett) will host Frank Heppner who will present his book, Railroads in Rhode Island: Shaping the Ocean State's Railways.

Food Trucks at the Beach: Head to Narragansett Town Beach tonight from 6 - 10 p.m. for dinner from some of the regions local food trucks. Vendors include Eddie's BBQ, Go-Spresso, Pizza by Fire, Roxy's Lobster, Shuckin' Truck, and Blue Lobster.

Summer Movie for Kids: Tonight at 6 p.m., the Peace Dale Library (1057 Kingstown Rd., Peace Dale) will host a free summer movie event for kids, featuring the film, Holes (rated PG, running time of 117 minutes). Popcorn and pretzel snacks will also be provided. Registration is not required.

Gansett Council Meeting: The Narragansett Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. this evening at Town Hall (25 Fifth Ave., Narragansett). Click here to view tonight's agenda.
