Five Things, July 11: Doo-Wop, Beach Boys Tribute and More

Today is Thursday, July 11, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

Live Music and Dancing at The Towers: There will be live music and dancing at 7 p.m. tonight and every Thursday at The Towers in Narragansett this summer. All ages are welcome! Tonight's musical act is Reminisce, an 8-member doo-wop group specializing in songs from the 50s and early 60s. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at the door. 

SRICC Networking Event/Blood Drive: Register today for tomorrow's Southern RI Chamber of Commerce event at The Right Click (35 South County Commons Way, Unit D3, SK), featuring coffee, networking and blood donations! Join members of the SRICC and staff from The Right Click and Rhode Island Blood Center from 8-9 a.m. for a morning of networking, refreshments and door prizes. Admission is $5 or free with a blood donation. (Blood drive will run from 8-11 a.m.) Click here to register.

SK Waterfront Advisory Meeting: The South Kingstown Waterfront Advisory Commission will meet at 7 p.m. this evening at the Neighborhood Guild (325 Columbia St., Peace Dale). Little Explorers Registration: Register today for one of this summer's South Kingstown Preschool Mini Camps, "Little Explorers", scheduled for Tuesday-Thursday, July 16-18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join the investigation with your magnifying glass to explore the world of bugs, leaves, frogs and more. Participants will explore the trails of the Tri-Pond Park using nets to explore life in the water. Open to children ages 3-6. $72 per resident, $82 per non-resident.
