Ocean State Waves Looking For Host Families

The Ocean State Waves recently joined the New England Collegiate Baseball League (www.necbl.com) and are entering their second year in South County this summer. The NECBL operates as a non-profit organization as do its 13 member teams, including the Waves.  Teams are comprised of players from the top collegiate conferences. Players stay with host families during the season. Each year the NECBL's top players are scouted and selected in the Major League Baseball draft.

Catch the Waves (www.oceanstatewaves.com) this summer as they make a splash in South County. The Waves play a 44 game schedule, including 22 home games at Old Mountain Field in Wakefield. The atmosphere is very family-friendly and community oriented - much like the Pawtucket Red Sox. Over 250 NECBL alumni are currently playing professional baseball!

Be part of the Ocean State Waves this summer! The Waves are looking for families in South County to serve as hosts for its players. The players are strong role models and are eager to be part of the South County community.

Players will need housing from June 1 through the first week of August. This is a great opportunity to be part the team.  Host families receive complimentary tickets to all 22 Waves home games and will be invited to a variety of Wave related events and activities.

If you are interested in housing a player please contact Waves GM Matt Finlayson: matt@oceanstatewaves.com
