Lincoln School’s Maria Iannotti wins first runner-up in Miss RI Outstanding Teen Pageant

Providence, RI – Narragansett resident and Lincoln School sophomore Maria Iannotti won first runner-up in the Miss Rhode Island's Outstanding Teen pageant on May 10, 2014. The competition takes into account each contestant's grade point average, personal interview, and talent. Maria played the piano and won the interview portion of the competition, and she has received two scholarships from the organization!

 

A diligent student who also runs cross country and rows crew, Maria says, "Participating in this program was an absolutely incredible experience! From this, I have gained confidence as well as life-long friendships with girls who share the same desire to make a positive impact on the world. I am also really looking forward to the opportunity to promote my platform, encouraging young girls to pursue STEM fields, this upcoming year."
