Providence, RI – October 27, 2013 – Local Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees assisted with the delivery of nearly 3,000 pounds of food to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank recently. The food, collected during Dunkin’ Donuts Fall Food Drive, will be utilized by pantries throughout Rhode Island. In addition to items collected, Dunkin’ Donuts also donated 1000 pounds of coffee to the Food Bank.
From October 7th through October 20th, nearly 200 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Rhode Island and approximately 100 in Bristol County, MA encouraged guests to donate non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries. As a thank you for their contribution, guests received a coupon for $1 off the purchase of a medium or larger beverage of their choice.
“We are extremely grateful to our guests for supporting what we hope will become an annual tradition. We hope this contribution will help our neighbors have a delicious holiday meal this year,” said Guido Petrosinelli, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee.
