WWII Lecture Series Begins Tonight at Kingston Free Library (and 4 More Things)

    Women's Networking: Today at 8:45 a.m., the South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, located at 230 Old Tower Hill Rd., Wakefield, will host a "Fresh Connections Women's Networking" event. The program helps women obtain their professional goals through a powerful network of support and provides a forum for building relationships and connections.     Stories for 2s and 3s: From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. this morning, the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library (35 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett), will host "Stories for 2s & 3s", a storytime session for children ages 2 and 3 with a parent or caregiver. Join in songs, stories, fingerplays and a fun craft! Class size is limited, so registration is required by contacting the Library at 789-9507.

    WWII Lecture in Kingston: At 7 p.m. this evening, the Kingston Free Library, located at 2605 Kingstown Rd., will host the first of a 4-part lecture series about World War II presented by Dr. Stanley Carpenter from the Naval War College. Tonight's lecture is titled, "Blitzkrieg: Battles of Poland and France". The Lectures Series is free, but registration is required and can be done by calling 783-8254 or dropping by the Library.
