Wounded Warrior Project Flag-Raising Ceremony Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    Wounded Warrior Project Ceremony: On Friday, Sept. 27 at 5  p.m., the Town of Narragansett will hold a flag-raising ceremony in Veteran's Memorial Park (across from Narragansett Post Office). The Wounded Warrior Project flag will serve as a lasting reminder of the sacrifices that our military is making on our behalf, and pay special tribute to those veterans who have been injured in the line of duty. Click here to learn more about the Wounded Warrior Project.

    Tomorrow - Showtime B-Ball at SKHS: This Friday, Sept. 27, the SK Dream Team will face off against The Harlem Rockets for an evening of thrilling Showtime Basketball at South Kingstown High School. For years the Rockets have been entertaining fans with their unique combination of basketball skills, zany comedy and audience participation. The SK Dream Team is made up of teachers and administrators from across the school district! Doors open at 6 p.m., game starts at 7 p.m. General Admission tickets are $12 per adult or $10 per student or senior (65+) at the door.

    Star Gazing at Frosty Drew Observatory: Tonight and every Friday night at 6 p.m., get star struck at the Frosty Drew Observatory's Public Stargazing Night (61 Park Ln., Charlestown). Be sure to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list or follow them on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) to receive status updates about the public stargazing program. This is a free event, however donations are greatly appreciated.

    Jim Gaffigan at URI: On Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m., the University of Rhode Island's Ryan Center will host comedian, Jim Gaffigan with a Special Guest.
