SKHS Jazz Band Performs Holiday Concert Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    SKHS Jazz Band: Tonight at 7 p.m., the South Kingstown HS Jazz Band will warm up a chilly December evening with two lively sets of traditional and holiday jazz tunes, led by Instrumental Music Director Dr. Don Smith. Between sets, the vocal jazz ensemble "eSKape" will perform, led by Choral Director Marina Ferri. Free admission, suggested $5 donation.

    Business After Hours: From 5 to 7 p.m. this evening, the Southern RI and Narragansett chambers of commerce will hold a joint business after hours networking event, hosted by George's of Galilee, located at 250 Sand Hill Cove Rd., Narragansett. $5 per person. Click here to register.

    Ballroom Dance Lessons: Tonight and each Wednesday evening year-round, The Towers in Narragansett offers ballroom dance lessons led by instructors Sara Barker and Sue Davis. Ballroom lessons are held at 6 and 7 p.m., Tango at 8 p.m., followed by an open practice for all from 9-10:30 p.m. Cost is $15 per person for Ballroom or Tango, or $22 per person for a full evening. Click here for more information.

    Playing Now at CCA: A Christmas Carol will be performed Dec. 5-22 at the Courthouse Center for the Arts, located at 3481 Kingstown Road in West Kingston. Thursday through Saturday night performances will take place at 8 p.m. Matinees will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Click here for details about this year's eclectic rendition of the holiday classic and find out how to purchase tickets!
