SK Town Council to Meet Tuesday (and 4 More Things)

    Free Movie - Admission (PG): Today, from 2-4 p.m. and again from 6-8 p.m., the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library (35 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett) will host a free showing of the this year's film, "Admission", which tells the story of Princeton admissions officer, Portia Nathan, who while up for a major promotion, takes a professional risk after she meets a college-bound alternative school kid who just might be the son she gave up years ago in a secret adoption. (Starring Tina Fey & Paul Rudd.)

    SK Farmers' Market: Skip the grocery store tonight and pick up some fresh fruits, veggies and baked goods at South Kingstown's outdoor Farmers' Market at Marina Park! From 2-6 p.m. each Tuesday through October, the Park will host the community market that also offers plants, handmade handbags and more. Click here for more information and to view a list of featured vendors.

    Jim Gaffigan at URI: On Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m., the University of Rhode Island's Ryan Center will host comedian, Jim Gaffigan with a Special Guest.     SK Council Meeting: The South Kingstown Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. this evening at Town Hall (180 High St., Wakefield). Click here to view tonight's agenda.

    Botanical Garden Tour: From 5-6 p.m. this evening and every Tuesday through September, a guided tour of the URI Botanical Gardens and Horridge Conservatory will be offered by the University. Take a stroll through the garden with Head Gardener Gabrielle Torphy and Brian Maynard, Professor of Horticulture. Participants will meet at 5 p.m. at the Outreach Center Gazebo (3 East Alumni Ave., Kingston). Suggested donation is $5, children under 14 are free.
