Sign Up For Winter Storm Emergency Notifications (and 4 More Things)

Winter Emergency Notifications: With winter fast approaching, Narragansett and South Kingstown officials are urging residents to sign up to be notified of emergencies and other important news using each town's community notification system. This enables the Town to provide essential information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, fires, floods, unexpected road closures, or evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods. Narragansett residents click here and South Kingstown residents click here for step-by-step instructions on how to sign up.

Visit with Santa: From 5:30-7:30 p.m. today and tomorrow, Dec. 13, the South Kingstown Neighborhood Guild (325 Columbia St., Wakefield) will host Santa Claus himself who will be stopping by to visit with the children of South Kingstown and their families. Space is limited and registration is required by calling 780-9301 or stopping at the Guild during business hours. $5 fee per family for a 5-minute session. Don't forget your camera!
