No School for Rosh Hashanah: There is no school for South Kingstown or Narragansett students today in observance of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. This year, the holiday began Wednesday night and ends Friday evening. Click here to learn more about Rosh Hashanah.

Family Rosh Hashana Service: This morning from 10-11 a.m., the Congregation Beth David Temple, located at 102 Kingstown Road in Narragansett will host a Rosh Hashana service for local families. Click here to view complete service information.

Galilee Fishing Tourney Deadline: 7 p.m. this evening is the registration deadline for the 2nd Annual Galilee Fishing Tournament (held with the Seafood Festival Sept. 6-8). Entry fee is $15 per adult, $5 per junior (14 and under). Click here for all rules and here for registration information.

U6-U14 Soccer Clinic: While school is out in observance of Rosh Hashanah today, RI Premier Soccer will host a 1-day soccer skills clinic for players U6 to U14 at Brousseau Park (208 Succotash Rd, South Kingstown) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coaching staff will provide technical instruction with particular focus on 1v1 moves and footskills, fun challenges and small-sided games. $25 per player. Click here to register. For more information, contact Gavin at 781-891-6900 Ext.42 or email gmacphee@globalpremiersoccer.com.
