Narragansett, SK High Schools Host Winter Concerts Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    NHS Winter Concert: Tonight at 7 p.m., Narragansett's Annual Winter Concert will be held in the Narragansett High School auditorium (245 South Pier Rd.). The event will feature performances by the NHS Band, Concert Choir and new Strings program. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students. All proceeds benefit the NHS Music Department.

    SKHS Holiday Concert: At 7 p.m. this evening, South Kingstown High School, located at 215 Columbia St., Wakefield, will host its annual holiday concert, Sounds of the Season. Guests will enjoy holiday selections by the South Kingstown High School Chorus, String Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Symphony Orchestra. Highlights will include a portion of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite, featuring ballet dancers from Rhode Island's Ballet Theatre. The concert is free; $5 donation accepted to benefit the music department.     Deepwater Wind Hearing: This evening from 6-10 p.m., RI DEM will hold a public hearing regarding Deepwater Wind in the Narragansett Town Hall Assembly Room, located at 25 Fifth Avenue. Click here for complete details about tonight's forum that all residents are invited to attend.

    Visit with Santa: From 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 11-13, the South Kingstown Neighborhood Guild (325 Columbia St., Wakefield) will host Santa Claus himself who will be stopping by to visit with the children of South Kingstown and their families. Space is limited and registration is required by calling 780-9301 or stopping at the Guild during business hours. $5 fee per family for a 5-minute session. Don't forget your camera!

    Playing Now at CCA: A Christmas Carol will be performed Dec. 5-22 at the Courthouse Center for the Arts, located at 3481 Kingstown Road in West Kingston. Thursday through Saturday night performances will take place at 8 p.m. Matinees will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Click here for details about this year's eclectic rendition of the holiday classic and find out how to purchase tickets!
