Holiday Mini Mall Opens Today at URI (and 4 More Things)

    URI Holiday Mini Mall: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow (Dec. 4-5) more than 35 specialty retailers will be present in the URI Memorial Union Ballroom to help you get your holiday shopping started. Vendors include sterling silver and designer jewelry, wool scarves and sweaters, Denali Clothing, fine cooking herbs and oils, gourmet gift baskets, Avon and more.     Deep Water Wind Discussion: This morning, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m., The State Properties Committee will meet in Conference Room A, One Capitol Hill, Providence, to discuss proposed temporary construction and easements for the Deep Water Wind project on State property in Narragansett.     Final Walk-A-While Wednesday: From 12-1 p.m. today, URI's College of Human Science and Services in partnership with the Dept. of Kinesiology will host its final "Walk-a-While on Wednesday" of the year. The new health initiative is led by Kinesiology walking coaches who guide participants through various mapped paths each session.

    Letters to Santa: Don't miss the chance to drop Santa a line before Christmas! Letters must be mailed to: Santa Claus, Recreation Department, 170 Clarke Road, Narragansett, RI 02882 by Friday, Dec. 6!

    Plan Ahead - Free Vaccination Clinic: From 5-8 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 5, a free vaccination clinic will be held at the Broad Rock Middle School Gymnasium in Wakefield. Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccines will be available for anyone 11 years of age and older and flu vaccines will be available for anyone six months of age and older. Click here for details.
