Friends of Narragansett Library Meet Today (and 4 More Things)

    Friends of Gansett Library Meeting: From 10-11 a.m. today, the Friends of the Narragansett Library group will meet for the first time this year! The meeting will take place at the Library located at 35 Kingstown Road in Narragansett. All are welcome to join the group that helps the Library raise funds to offer community events, presentations and special guests.

    Ballroom Dance Lessons: Tonight and every Wednesday evening year-round, The Towers in Narragansett offers ballroom dance lessons led by instructors Sara Barker and Sue Davis. Ballroom lessons are held at 6 and 7 p.m., Tango at 8 p.m., followed by an open practice for all from 9-10:30 p.m. Cost is $15 per person for Ballroom or Tango, or $22 per person for a full evening. Click here for more information.

    Galilee Fishing Tourney Registration: The registration deadline for the 2nd Annual Galilee Fishing Tournament (held with the Seafood Festival Sept. 6-8) is tomorrow, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. Entry fee is $15 per adult, $5 per junior (14 and under).     Soccer Clinic Thursday: While school is out in observance of Rosh Hashanah on Thursday, Sept. 5, RI Premier Soccer will host a 1-day soccer skills clinic for players U6 to U14 at Brousseau Park (208 Succotash Rd, South Kingstown) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coaching staff will provide technical instruction with particular focus on 1v1 moves and footskills,  fun challenges and small-sided games. $25 per player. Click here to register. For more information, contact Gavin at 781-891-6900 Ext.42 or email gmacphee@globalpremiersoccer.com.
