Free Flu Clinic in Wakefield Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    Free Flu Clinic: Today from 5-8 p.m., the Town of South Kingstown and RI Dept. of Health have joined to bring a free community flu vaccination clinic to Broad Rock Middle School, located at 351 Broad Rock Road in Wakefield. The clinic is open to anyone older than six months of age. There is no cost for a flu shot and there are no insurance requirements. Click here for more information.

    Open Mic Night at Hank's: Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, Hank's Down South, located at 33 State St., Narragansett, will host an Open Mic Night with host, Lee Philips of Fuse Five. Come to sing, to play, or just to watch. Solo or group acts are welcome!

    Gansett Zoning Board: The Narragansett Zoning Board of Review will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the large board room at Town Hall (25 Fifth Ave., Narragansett). Click here to view this evening's agenda.

    WWII Lecture in Kingston: At 7 p.m. this evening, the Kingston Free Library, located at 2605 Kingstown Rd., will host the second of a 4-part lecture series about World War II presented by Dr. Stanley Carpenter from the Naval War College. Tonight's lecture is titled, "Air and Sea: Battles of Britain and the Atlantic". The Lectures Series is free, but registration is required and can be done by calling 783-8254 or dropping by the Library. Click here for more information about the lecture series.

    Tomorrow - Fraud Seminar: From 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, the South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce will host a fraud seminar led by Kristy Armstrong CPA and Ernest Almonte CPA, CFF, CFE. During the event, participants will learn fraud awareness and controls, as well as simple steps that can reduce fraud in the workplace. Click here for more information and to register.
