Fraud Seminar Friday Morning at SK Chamber (and 4 More Things)

    Fraud Seminar: Today from 8 to 9:30 a.m., the South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce will host a fraud seminar led by Kristy Armstrong CPA and Ernest Almonte CPA, CFF, CFE. During the event, participants will learn fraud awareness and controls, as well as simple steps that can reduce fraud in the workplace. Click here for more information and to register.

    Free Meditation Workshop: Have you ever wanted to try meditation? You're in luck! Today from 3-4 p.m., learn all about the ancient practice of mind-training during a free workshop led by Dr. Celina Pereira. The workshop is hosted by and will take place at the Narragansett Public Library, located at 35 Kingstown Road, Narragansett.

    Star Gazing at Frosty Drew Observatory: Tonight and every Friday night at 6 p.m., get star struck at the Frosty Drew Observatory's Public Stargazing Night (61 Park Ln., Charlestown). Be sure to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list or follow them on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) to receive status updates about the public stargazing program. This is a free event, however donations are greatly appreciated. 

    Grange Meeting: Tonight at 7:30 p.m., Richmond Grange, located at 690 Usquepaugh Rd., West Kingston, will hold its twice-monthly meeting (first and third Friday of each month). New members are always welcome. For more information, call Haven Nelson, Master of the Grange at (401) 829-3105.

    Men's Over-35 Drop in B-Ball: Looking to have some fun and let loose some stress? Join your peers for recreational fun and good basketball supervised by Glenn Miller, tonight and each Friday through Mar. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Peace Dale Elementary School (109 Kersey Rd, Peace Dale)  All ability levels are welcome and everyone plays.Note: Program does not meet when school is not in session. $2 per session. Click here for more Town activities and programs.
