Chamber to Host Business Workshop This Morning (and 4 More Things)

    Healthy Places Business Workshop: Today from 9-11 a.m., the Southern RI Chamber of Commerce, located at 230 Old Tower Hill Road in Wakefield, will host "Everybody Walks to the Cash Register", presented by Healthy Places by Design Villages and Neighborhoods Working Group. Brainstorm with fellow property and business owners about feasible, cost-effective ways to generate more business by making Wakefield’s Commercial Highway District a more desirable destination.     Contemporary Theater Masquerade Gala: Tonight at 7 p.m., The Contemporary Theater Company will host its 4th Annual Masquerade Gala at The Towers in Narragansett. Featuring more than a dozen raffle prizes and great food by Kabuki, along with a full bar, live music and a 50/50 raffle, the Gala no doubt will be an unforgettable event.     Star Gazing at Frosty Drew Observatory: Tonight and every Friday night at 6 p.m., get star struck at the Frosty Drew Observatory's Public Stargazing Night (61 Park Ln., Charlestown). Be sure to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list or follow them on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) to receive status updates about the public stargazing program. This is a free event, however donations are greatly appreciated.

    Bobby's Fundraiser: At 7 p.m. this evening, St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, located at 35 Lower College Road on the URI Kingston Campus, will host a fundraiser for Bobby St. Sauveur, a South County stroke survivor. Admission is $10 per person, which includes one free raffle ticket, food and music. All proceeds will go towards Bobby's recovery process, including physical therapy, medical and living expenses.
